The big day is here... on 24 Feb 2009 evening....my dear buddy waved good-bye to singlehood...
We all arrived slightly earlier...haha...like 10mins earlier only.... to help prep him for the important moment....he was visibly tensedand most of the time his shirt is tucked in a weird way.....i lost count of the times i ask keith to help him with it! when all the guest arrived, we moved into the waiting hall to standby...they have this big screen that has the couples' names on it, all eyes are on the screen cuz when it is the couple's turn...the name will move up to the first column...it is in the hall that everyone starts to get excited...all the fixing of shirt, rings, hair etc reached its max intensity...
when the name finally moved up.....everyone start moving into the room and get ready for "the moment"...the next 15 mins will change their lives totally....Most of the time....people watching are giggling cuz thomas is tensed and he always react wrongly, too quickly or too slowly.... *rolled eyes* but it is all these acts that made this solemnization unique...saying "i do"......exchanging vows......putting on the ring.....signing the marriage cert....just these simple steps that took less than 15 mins.. Thomas Chan and Kitty Lam became husband and wife.....it is an amazing experience....an amazing 15 mins.....
when "the moment" is over...it is picture time!!!
After getting directions to the hotel where the dinner is held....we started to move........and because the table is not ready...we start to camwhore at the hotel lobby..........and it continues into dinner.....we had a long table to ourselves....10 of us k....the buffet spread was good but i think the company at the table made it superb! if you are wondering why there is an auntie at our table.....welll that is my mother!!!she was invited...... and yes...miriam was there too....cuz she was the video person!!! our table is like the most happening one....we dun even need the the host to entertain us...we were happily enjoying each other's company!!!
When all of us are filled to the throat.... and need some form of exercise to help with digestion...we posed for photos!!! see the girls' photos....its supposed to be posing 1,2,3,4,5 and it is elaine's first attempt doing such funny pose......by the time we pose "5"...she was laughing so hard that we cant stop her.....so we just took her photo....coincidentally....she was using her hand to cover her mouth...so it is still "5" finger pose!
The guys were handsomely dressed but to be part of the fun.....the readily posed too!!! even mummy posed with green tea ice cream cone....miriam went next but she's doing so to model the ice cream i scoop for her.....
Thomas, Kitty,We really enjoyed ourselves alot and thank you for the dinner arrangement! Congrats and may the two of you love each other more each day!!! I love you two!

Had dinner with people from WTO @ my favourite part of Singapore...eating my favourite food!!!
Place - Little India, Chellas
Food- Indian Vegetarian
I was telling them...if chinese vegetarian taste as yummy as indian's i will be a vegetarian!! That is how yummy it is....yummy till i can give up my steam fish......braised pork belly....bbq chicken wings..lamb chop....blah blah blah...... i spend hell lot of time trying to decide what i wanna eat...in the end i chose vegetarian Briyani....think its not cool......? you belittle me and my choice!!! its yummy yummy spiced rice with so many nuts and rasins inside........one onion curd (yogurt)....one vege curry...one curried vege (different from veg curry cuz this is the dry version)...one sweet.....and one crisp snack..... *wonderful* Deepa had the same as me...... and maia and danielle took "mysore dosa" it looks like thosai but it is called" dosa" and has potatoes in it.....it comes with exciting dips.....like sambal.....curry....coconut and some chick pea thingy....
i took a bite...."omg" so nice!!!! in the end i takeaway a" mysore masala dosa" for eugene soon......guess from his expression...you can tell how happy he is with my choice!

One more highlight!!!
Deepa ordered this pani puri!!! some fried ball with a hole in the centre....and is filled with mashed potato and beans...to eat it....one has to dip and fill the ball with spicy water...and.....push the whole thingy into your mouth.....it taste like some mexican food to me and its another new fav of mine....i will definitely try it once more!!!
I want more indian food!

Thomas Bachelor Trip!!! 21/02/09 - 22/02/09
The soon to be married man chose a trip to Genting instead of a night of fun!!! the gang took a 6hours coach journey and finally reached Thomas's Holy land! Thomas love the place like to the max cuz of a particular shop at the First World Hotel Shopping Arcade - "Speedy Movie", a cd, vcd and dvd shop.......... its a shop he spent 200 bucks on animations' dvds in just 2day 1night!!!
And where the money came from? it came from the casino! Casino is the place the guys soaked themselves for 90% of their waking hours......and for elaine...its shopping ....eating then casino......as for me i spent 80% of my time resting in the hotel room cuz i'm down with fever and sore throat......ultimate right?! i took 12 hours coach to go sleep in their hotel.....
But that aside....i'm sure thomas and elaine enjoyed their vcd/dvd shopping spree, eugene and keith enjoyed the casino...and well...i enjoyed....the big pau eugene soon bought for me to go with my medicine...haha...it is like the biggest pau i seen...and guess the photos can show you how amazed we are.....thomas and keith decide to have two each for lunch and they walked off bloated.......we are talking about two big-eaters here......
a happier note..... eugene soon got me a bear...and to associate it to this trip...i've decided to call it "Gentleman" (cuz Genting mah.....)....
Two more days and he will not be a swinging bachelor anymore........*so exciting lah!!!

Happy valentine's day!!! It was a great picnic @ Marina Barrage (minus e fly fly)!!! i made bake salmon with bake potato salad and ordered a lamb rack from kitty's shop....baby like my salmon best and told me to prepare it again for him...hee hee...i think he is happier with the salmon than the gift i got him.......Met him at novena and bought a big big straw mat before we cab down to the marina barrage...it is quite a nice place....didnt know PUB/singapore got such a nice and artistic dam.....anyway....when we got there...there's lots of family....most of them are flying kite at the roof garden.....and as the day gets darker.....more couples came by and on the grass patch....its 2 by 2.....sitting on the picnic mat.....eating....lying down and watch the stars.....sounds romantic? we were enjoying the food....chatting and looking at what other couples are doing......then about 1 and 1/2 hours later....eugene was like ..." there's lots of fly fly on your head...!!!" i feel my head went numb and start messing my hair to get them out! we quickly finish the food and pack to leave the grass patch....went to the side and settle down again.....from the barrage....we can see the singapore flyer and a little of city hall...pretty nice so set up the tripod and take photos!!!
He got me a pretty bracelet & a rose and i got him a customized nike tee with his name on...its a sweet valentine's day and i'm now looking forward to Thomas bachelor trip to genting this weekend!

It is party time @Jack's Place on the Friday e 13th!I dun know how come i became the organizer for this event.......and have to do all the ordering and buying instead of Jack...... all i can say is....i dun plan to do it again....
It is fun to have parties...personally i like to organize party...and get invited to parties...but this time round...its like a semi-work party...so i dun feel the "fun" factor...i cant like go crazy or create a havoc and how fun can it be when we talk about work? The only fun part is when we were asking ppl abt their v day plans...and? nothing else i guess.......
Did i mention it is also Zafar's last day....he is from Bangladesh and came to volunteer at WTO....even though we are not like super close but i guess i'm still gonna miss him a little...
I'm looking forward to a fun fun fun party!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!! I know now V day such a "hallmark" event that people are it meaningless to celebrate...but c'mon...what so bad with having a day to show and affirm your love for that someone special? whether it is a hallmark event depends on what the couple plans to do........and it need not be expensive!

We had so so so so so much food!!!!! There's no eat and shop...shop and eat for us....it is all the way...EAT EAT EAT EAT EAT EAT!!!
We went to the peak..the view is spectecular!!!...he treated me an expensive dinner...haha..cuz he won lotsa of moolah @ macau!!! Did i mention i love our hotel?!! they gave us free upgrade and it is super close to "Fa Yuen" St...close to a mega mall....situated at the busiest part of Mong Kok!!! It is the ROYAL PLAZA HOTEL!!!
Saw the food?? i love the XO sauce zhu chang fen!!!i'm hooked! then came the snake soup.....super yummy...and all the roast meat.....i dun know why it tast especially yummy there..is it the water? or my mood? oops! did i leave out the desserts? the variety will drive you crazy!
Claypot rice cooked right in front of me...super huge wanton...famous curry fishball....zhu chang fen with peanut sauce....bbq squid...our first dessert in HK - Zha zha and beef balls!!
i love travelling with him..........................................................

Happy Chinese New!! Gong Xi Gong Xi!!!
I know its already day 10 of new year....but...late is better than never...
This is my second time i'm celebrating the entire chinese new year in Singapore ....usually....my eve till day 2 are spent in Malaysia....
Baby smuggle me into the gym on the eve noon.... did a little workout under his supervision and instruction and time for chinatown shopping!!!! this year's reunion dinner is just me and him....cuz he had his with his family in the early noon...i had it on the eve of the eve of chinese new year.......so...now..its sadly just me and him....
As usual...chinatown is crowded like mad....we managed to squeeze through the crowd and end up at the gourmet st....
after much consideration...we chose a Sichuan restuarant to settle our reunion dinner....

I'm back! I dun know how many times i have used this to announce my grand entrance back to blogspot.....but in any case....hope this time round i have sufficient motivation to keep the space "alive"......
Life after US.....
i miss so many things......i miss walmart.....i miss the outlet shopping....i miss the OCU campus....i miss the residency...i miss the two "dad/grandpa" like drivers.....i miss my fitness class.....i misthe icy weather...i miss having to moisturize myself for 15 mins after shower.....i miss the "amazed" feeling i have whenever i discover something huge....cheap....extra sweet...extra salty...etc..... its like boring here back in Singapore......nothing fancy...nothing out of the blue....i feel dead here man......
To make things worst...we still have 2 assignments and exams to prepare for.......i'm now in the "i've graduated" ...."I'm done with books" mood...... that graduating ceremony back in OCU is like fresh in my mind..... this is pure cruelty........and the cruelty ends on 14 feb.......who on earth take the final final final exam on V day? and its a paper on food chain......global warming....biodiversity?!!!
aside from studying.....what else? i'm working at WTO....full time.....yes....i got a job......this is "considered" lucky...cuz everyone is out of job...looking for one or hanging on to one..... but its not pure luck.....i paved the way sice i'm still studying...... so its natural i get here...with a not bad pay... the only prob is i'm still adjusting....i have to tell myself....i'm no longer a student.......now i'm a full time employee.... so its no fun anymore......but who cares....i get the moolah...the job is interesting.....thats cool enuff!
I reckon i need to travel to experience the cultural shock......i love the shocks.....the more the better.....it just keep me excited........i know eventually i have to be back in singpore.....so the shock is only temporary...nothing to be scraed about man..... Went Hong Kong......amazed by the food...i eat like non stop over there....even eugene cant stop.....we have snake soup....freshly cooked claypot rice....huge wantons with soup....boneless S$100 fish.....roasted gooes...roasted pigeon..... rice roll fired with XO sauce......braised beef....and the list go on......we took ferry....at 40cents......walked the entire nathan road.....straight....left and right...its like 4 to 5 times the distance from CK Tangs to Plaza Singapura....and i walked with my boy who just tore his ACL!!!! he is good right! Another thing we realized is.....if you see a MTR entrance....you probably have to walk for at least 200m before you see the ticketing counter......the longest we walked was about 1.2 km.....we saw the entrance......took the escalator down.....walk through a long long long tunnel......go down another escalator.....go on to the aother tunnel......go up the a short fleet of stairs.......through another tunnel....and there! you see the ticketing counter....
